Tariq Ali wrote a film script about the 1991 collapse of BCCI, the biggest scandal in the history of international banking—and it’s been hiding out in his files until this year. In A Banker for All Seasons: Bank of Crooks and Cheats Incorporated, Ali claims to have had some inside sources on the BCCI situation and when his publisher wouldn’t run with the story he wrote a script instead. BCCI is a gold mine of corruption: at least $13 billion funnelled away into trading nuclear secrets, terrorist funding, smuggling—who knows how far the rabbit hole goes on this one.

House Democrat accuses US ambassador of evidence tampering
A 22-year-old Miami arms dealer allegedly worked with the US ambassador to Albania to falsify records on ammunition shipped to Afghanistan as part of a defense contract worth $10 million. The contract explicitly prohibits ammunition made in China? Make it look like it’s made in Albania. Just look out for Rep. Henry Waxman!
